Our Secure Site:
Our online registration system has been developed by the Iowa State University Information Technology Services (ITS) and the server and system will be managed and maintained by ITS as well, assuring you of the highest security for payment transactions and privacy.

Registration Dates and Times:
  • Online activation for Returning Customer Registration: Tuesday, April 13th at 6:00 p.m.
  • Online activation for New Customer Registration: Wednesday, April 14th at 6:00 p.m.
  • Registration after April 14th will remain available online until all sessions are sold out.

SwimAmerica Registration information for ALL enrollees:
  • Class fees
    • Traditional session (eight lessons): $79.00
      • New participant Program Initiation Fee is $25.00. This fee is a one-time charge for each new participant and includes a complimentary T-Shirt and a program Award Certificate.
  • Online Registration Processing fee
    • An Online Registration "Per Checkout" Processing Fee of $4.00 will be assessed (no matter how many family members you register at one time).
  • Payments will be on an ISU secure server.
  • Electronic Credit / Debit card payments are the only form of payment accepted using either Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.

  • Online registration time limit:
    • You will have 30 minutes to complete your registration before the session times out. If a session times out, the “seats” or spots in the class you have chosen are forfeited and returned to the system’s “seats available” pool.
  • Parking
    • If you are interested in parking near the pool for our daytime classes, ISU Parking Services will offer SwimAmerica clients parking permits that are valid in the visitor parking lot #100 at the Lied Rec Center at a cost of $5.00 per session. Parking permits will be a registration option that you may choose to purchase. Your confirmation email will include your parking permit which you selected at registration.  Please use this on the first day of the session and place it on your front driver’s side dashboard. A permit for the remainder of the session will be made available to you at check in on the first day of each session. For our evening classes; University parking lots open to the public at 5:30 p.m. and are available for parking (where permitted).
  • New participant placement guidelines:
    • When registering a new enrollee, you will be asked to enter a placement level to assist us in your child’s initial lesson placement. If you are unsure of the ability level, it is best to choose a lower level.
      • Please select the highest level of ability from the following:
        • Level A. Non Swimmer
        • Level B. Ability to place head underwater
        • Level C. Front float, back float, and kicking
        • Level D. Front crawl with breathing
        • Level E. Advanced competitive skill beyond D

Required Release Form: PLEASE NOTE! - PARENT AND *PHYSICIAN SIGNATURE REQUIRED!
  • Iowa State University requires that all Cyclone Swim School participants have a signed release form in our possession prior to any enrollee’s participation. You must bring this form to the check-in on the first day of the first session you participate in. This release will cover all classes from May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011. *Please note that a copy of participant’s school physical form may serve as the physician’s authorization if valid within one year of the starting date of SwimAmerica and submitted along with our Medical Release Form. NO SWIMMER WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT THIS FORM. A parent or guardian must sign the release and the treatment authorization form if the participant is under 18 years of age. Students who are 18 years old or will become 18 years old before the end of a session must also sign. In order for students to participate in any lesson, we must have this form prior to participation. You may reference this downloadable form at Required Release Form tab on our home page.

Returning customer information:
  • Returning customers will get a 24-hour priority enrollment before enrollment opens for new SwimAmerica customers.
  • Returning customers are permitted to register only your immediate family members and/or new family members enrolling for the first time.
  • Your family ID number is required to login for returning customer registration.
    • This number appears on the mailing label you received with your registration announcement post card.
  • The online system has been integrated with our database and your family information will be available for you to verify and update if needed.
  • Graduate Levels 11-13: For SwimAmerica level 10 graduates we offer our “medal series” of lessons. To qualify for this level, a child must have completed our SwimAmerica level 10. The “medal series” of levels 11 through 13 offer challenges in three additional levels that are more pre-competitive in nature with an emphasis on conditioning. Our reward system for new level attainment is a bronze medal for level 11, silver for level 12 and gold for level 13. Each participant in our graduate level class will receive a participation medal. Graduates may test/advance only one level per session.
